Woolsey McKernon has a long history building successful CRE companies in development, construction, finance, technology and energy efficiency. He has been at the intersection of sustainable development, intelligent buildings and creative capital strategies to enable property owners to maximize value in their assets.
Woolsey’s professional career began at computer-aided-design industry leader, Autodesk. Following that, he worked in commercial construction for California’s largest contractor, Webcor, helping set up an Interior Commercial division. An investment by Webcor in a pioneer software-as-a-service (“SaaS”) company, led to Woolsey working with Bechtel Group globally and, ultimately, responsible for North American Sales. Woolsey then started a real estate services division for Webcor, which he spun out, developing numerous residential, retail and mixed-use properties as Chief Operating Officer. Woolsey moved to Singapore where he joined a private real estate entity, structuring numerous capital structures, including an AIM-listing in London. He structured the development entity, led the initial development of Raffles Park, a project in Bangalore, India, and was involved in a 13-property turnaround at Rendezvous Hospitality Group for Southeast Asia’s oldest private equity firm, Straits Trading. Mr. McKernon oversaw the growth of a venture-backed software company’s Managed Energy Services Agreement (MESA) business unit with Deutsche Bank and Mitsui as funding partners, led the $20m Series 2 raise and ran Corporate Development. Most recently at CleanFund Commercial PACE Capital, Inc. he was the SVP, Chief Revenue Officer, and led the alternative lender to a 1,253% 3-year revenue growth and personally closed the largest C-PACE deal in the industry in 2019 at $54MM.
Woolsey has a Master of Science in Environmental Management from the National University, Singapore and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Vermont.
